Last summer, HeadCount and Boulder-based tea company Celestial Seasonings teamed up to raise awareness on voter registration by producing a limited batch of special herbal teas inspired by the Grateful Dead (“Ramble on Rose”) and Phish (“Ginseng Sullivan”). The original run of the two teas was limited to just 6,000 boxes, and was given to fans who signed up for HeadCount’s non-partisan text and e-mail election alerts at Dead & Company and Phish events throughout the summer.

Well, its tea time in Arrington, Virginia because the two organizations have announced the revival of the limited-edition Grateful Dead-inspired tea to be given out for free at LOCKN’ Festival this weekend.

The box again features artwork designed by Grateful Dead poster artist AJ Masthay.

Tea drinkers and Deadheads can get their own free box of “Ramble on Rose” by registering to vote or to get election alerts with HeadCount. Boxes of the tea will also be given away to attendees at LOCKN’ this weekend who also sign up or opt into receiving election alerts.

“Settle down easy with our limited-edition Grateful Dead-inspired black tea, Ramble On Rose,” it reads in a product description on Celestial Seasonings website. “Infused with notes of vanilla, strawberry and rose, this brew will transport your taste buds to 1972.”
