On Wednesday morning, Chance The Rapper stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform “Eternal” off his recently released album, The Big Day.

For his Ellen spot, Chance dressed to the nines in a white and black tuxedo with identically dressed backup singers/dancers flanking him on either side. Performing in front of a massive, glowing “ETERNAL” sign, Chance The Rapper and company delivered a joyous rendition of the track complete with Motown-inspired choreography. Fellow Chicago native Smino, who appears on the track on the album, also dropped in to deliver his verse.

At the tail end of the performance, Chance encouraged the crowd to get up and dance (“Hey, I’mma need to see y’all movin’, this the Ellen show, right?”). As he played hype man for the crowd, Ellen herself—dressed identically to the rapper—hopped up on the stage to dance alongside him, surprising a clearly amused Chance. Chance The Rapper also sat down with DeGeneres to talk about his long love affair with his wife, Kirsten Bennett, whom Chance has known since he was 9 years old. Bennett just gave birth to the couple’s second child earlier this month. Chance and his wife’s love story and recent wedding were the central themes of The Big Day. Ellen also presented chance with several gifts for his growing family as well as a plaque commemorating the more than 1.5 billion streams racked up by his previous album, Coloring Book.
