Chicano Batman will return to the stage with a 22-date U.S. tour later this year, the band announced on Tuesday. The fall/winter tour will begin on October 20th at Meow Wolf in Sante Fe, NM and wrap on December 18th at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN.
This months-long run of concerts will mark the L.A. psychedelic soul outfit’s first shows before a live audience since the release of 2020 album Invisible People. Throughout the pandemic, the band has stayed connected to fans with appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NPR Music‘s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series. Chicano Batman had only one opportunity to perform on a true stage in 2020 as they played to an empty Hollywood Bowl in November, later released as a six-song performance video on YouTube.

The cross-country trek includes a stop at New York’s Webster Hall (12/14) as well as a hometown stop at Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Center (11/12). Chicano Batman will be joined by Inner Wave, who will open all of the shows, in addition to Crumb, who will be along for the L.A. and San Francisco dates.
