On Saturday, December 26th, 50+ artists and hundreds of thousands of viewers around the world came together for Georgia Comes Alive, a virtual music festival aimed at promoting voter participation in Georgia’s Senate runoff elections on January 5th, 2021, which saw a record-breaking voter turnout.

One of the many renowned artists to participate in Georgia Comes Alive was lauded pianist Chuck Leavell who performed the 1940s boogie-woogie tune, “Down The Road A Piece”. Leavell’s musical career has spanned over 50 years with a plethora of artists, he is best known for his work with The Rolling Stones as well as The Allman Brothers Band. Georgia Comes Alive found a solo Leavell displaying the piano prowess that has made him an indispensable session and touring musician in each of the past five decades.
