Circus Mind, the New York-based rock outfit led by keyboardist/vocalist Mark Rechler, has released “VOTE”, a soul-rock anthem aimed at getting Americans to make their voices heard. The new track is the latest in a string of recent releases from the group including the 2022 EP Bioluminate and 2021 full-length Joy Machine.

“I had no intention of writing a song about voting,” said Rechler, “but the muses had different plans. The song literally got written in about two hours, lyrics and music. I stopped a few times to ask myself, ‘Am I writing a voting song right now?’ But I figured I would just let it come out, since the music was so good, and I could always rewrite the lyrics. It seemed just the right amount of fun, funky, cool, and relevant, that I knew it was gonna work.”

Falling in step with that creative momentum, Rechler is using the track to raise money nonpartisan voter registration organization HeadCount. He previously raised $10,000 for The New Orleans Musicians Clinic with a similar fundraiser tied to his 2020 Falling Water single, “When Will We Be Saved”.
