Cool Cool Cool, formed in late 2022 by seven former members of Turkuaz, had a statement-making year in 2023, from extensive outings with Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew on their Remain In Light tour to a stretch of dates supporting (and collaborating with) party-starters Andy Frasco & The U.N. to various assorted festival appearances and beyond. The band also spent significant time writing and recording new music due to be released in 2024.

Cool Cool Cool released its first-ever original track, “Never Noticed“, in November 2023. While band members Shira Elias (vocals), Sammi Garett (vocals), Josh Schwartz (tenor/baritone sax, vocals), Michelangelo Carubba (drums), Greg Sanderson (alto sax/tenor sax, vocals), Craig Brodhead (guitar, keys), and Chris Brouwers (trumpet, keys) performed and recorded together for years in Turkuaz, “Never Noticed” marked their first true collaboration on record as creative equals. As the band said of the new track in a statement, “The realization of our universal connectedness is at the heart of this song, which we hope the listener can associate with in their own lives. We want people to contemplate and discover how our stories are told and how they interconnect. And of course, we want them to celebrate.“

“After an incredible year in 2023, we are recharged, invigorated, and ready to show you what we’ve been cooking up,” the funky outfit wrote in a statement on the Never Noticed Tour. “Brand new songs, crisp looks, and huge sounds- come on out to celebrate and dance with us!”

“This tour is special for us,” said saxophonist Greg Sanderson. “Over the years we’ve all put our hearts, countless hours, and full dedication into our crafts. Coming together as a band to be creative and adventurous has been an amazing experience. All of the cities on this run are locations we love, places we have made friends and fans, and honestly, it feels like a coming home tour in many ways. From Turkuaz shows, solo projects, sit ins, and now Cool Cool Cool, these are venues I know we all can’t wait to reconnect with, and build new families from.”
