Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew will take their acclaimed tour celebrating Talking Heads‘ Remain in Light into 2024 with a new batch of dates featuring Cool Cool Cool.
The new tour dates will kick off with a pair of shows in Ohio on July 26th in Cincinnati and the 28th in Cleveland. Remain in Light will then play a string of concerts in the Northeast, making stops in Huntington, NY (7/30), Portland, ME (8/1), Derry, NH (8/2), Rahway, NJ (8/3), and Tarrytown, NY (8/4). A performance on July 27th will be announced at a later date.

Original Talking Head Jerry Harrison and frequent touring/studio guitarist Adrian Belew first launched their celebration of the band’s 1980 album with Turkuaz back in 2021. The artistic collaboration has since continued through Turkuaz’s 2022 breakup and into the new project Cool Cool Cool, featuring seven of nine members of the defunct funk outfit.
The tour announcement also comes at a time of heightened interest in Talking Heads, after the four original members reunited for the first time in 21 years at a screening of Stop Making Sense. The iconic art rock act’s groundbreaking 1983 concert film celebrated its 40th anniversary this year with a return to theaters, and Harrison, David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, and Chris Frantz have been appearing together at screenings and on late-night TV, fueling speculation surrounding a long-awaited reunion.
Meanwhile, Cool Cool Cool—comprised of Shira Elias (vocals), Sammi Garett (vocals), Josh Schwartz (tenor/baritone sax, vocals), Michelangelo Carubba (drums), Greg Sanderson (alto sax/tenor sax, vocals), Craig Brodhead (guitar, keys), and Chris Brouwers (trumpet, keys)—released its debut single “Never Noticed” last month. Though the band played together for years in Turkuaz, the band members say this track marks their first collaboration as true creative partners.
