On Tuesday, it was reported that Dave Grohl, Anderson .Paak, and A Tribe Called Quest would perform together at the 59th Grammy Awards ceremony. Apparently that announcement was made prematurely and that the Foo Fighters frontman will not be joining this group.

In a statement from The Recording Academy and AEG Ehrlich Productions, they explain: “Earlier this week, we announced that Dave Grohl would be performing with Anderson .Paak and A Tribe Called Quest prior to confirming all participants. Dave Grohl will not be part of this performance. Unfortunately, our announcement was made prematurely. On behalf of The Recording Academy and AEG Ehrlich Productions, we sincerely apologize to all parties involved for our error.”

With or without Grohl, this collaborative performance will still be a definite highlight, as will the return of Daft Punk — who are playing their first live performance in three years. Also performing at the James Corden-hosted 2017 Grammy Awards on February 12 are Adele, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Metallica, Alicia Keys, and John Legend.
