Over the weekend, former Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and his family hosted another episode of the newly-launched Polly Samson’s A Theatre For Dreamers web series from their home, which included the performances of two songs penned by the late Leonard Cohen.
Similar to the first video stream which aired last week on the guitarist’s YouTube and Facebook pages where Gilmour covered Cohen’s “Bird on the Wire” and “So Long, Marianne”, the new episode heard the famous guitarist perform “Fingerprints” from 1977’s Death of a Ladies Man, and “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye” off 1967’s Songs of Leonard Cohen. The second part of the new webseries focuses primarily on the promotion of a forthcoming novel penned by his wife and author Polly Samson entitled, A Theatre For Dreamers.

“It’s got a bit where you can join in if you like” Gilmour suggests followed by a classic British chuckle before starting into “Fingerprints” with his acoustic guitar at the video’s 15:45 minute mark. Gilmour receives some impressive group harmonies on the lively tune from his family–even the dog sniffs his way on over to where everyone is hanging out to check in on the action. The laughter-riddled performance of “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye” follows starting at the 32:00 mark, preceded by a question round and introduction to the family.
