David Gilmour played Italy’s Pompeii Amphitheatre in 2016, the same site Pink Floyd shot their critically acclaimed concert film, Live at Pompeii, 45 years prior. One significant difference was the audience before Gilmour as he shredded through originals and Pink Floyd classics, including a rare live rendition of “The Great Gig In the Sky.” David Gilmour will be premiering footage from this momentous occasion as a concert film, David Gilmour Live at Pomeii, on one night only, September 13th, in over 2,000 movie theatres around the world.
