Los Angeles-based alt-rockers Dawes and GRAMMY Award-nominated Canadian artist Bahamas have announced a joint co-headlining tour. Billed as An Evening with Dawes and Bahamas, the concerts will feature two collaborative live sets, with Dawes backing Bahamas and Bahamas joining Dawes for their respective performances. The tour will kick off September 7th at Knoxville, TN’s Bijou Theatre and then travel the U.S. through the month.
The joint tour comes amidst Dawes’ busy international touring schedule, which includes headlining shows, festival appearances, and a summer tour supporting The Head and The Heart. Bandleaders Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith will also join Phil Lesh & Friends for a special Independence Day event on Monday, July 4th at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ.
Dawes also has a new album, Misadventures of Doomscroller, set for release on Friday, July 22nd via Rounder Records. Pre-orders are available now, and a number of exclusive bundles—including Limited Edition Preferred Pink Vinyl w/Optional Exclusive 11×11 Signed Band Photo, Turntable Slipmat, Black Hoodie, White Pocket T, and Socks—are available to order here.
Produced by longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson (Billy Strings, Father John Misty, Angel Olsen), Misadventures of Doomscroller will feature recently released singles including “It Comes In Waves” and the album’s opening track, “Someone Else’s Café / Doomscroller Tries to Relax,” both available now at all DSPs and streaming services.
