Dawes on Tuesday took another bold step toward becoming a jam band with the announcement of the Misadventures of Doomscroller tour featuring two-set performances each night. This move comes after members of the band performed with Goose at last summer’s Fred The Festival, shared the stage with Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh, and set the record for the longest live performance of a single song in TV history.
The shows will feature no openers and “Long nights. Full hearts.” The band noted on social media, “We’ll all have to break out the catalogue master lists and bingo cards as we try to get to every song we’ve got.”
Dawes’ 2023 U.S. tour kicks off on March 2nd in Birmingham, AL and hosts coast-to-coast stops including familiar rooms like Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium (3/4), Boston’s new Roadrunner (3/17), New York’s Beacon Theatre (3/18), Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater (4/8), and two nights at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA (4/27, 4/28) before wrapping at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles (5/5).
Tickets for the 2023 Dawes Misadventures of Doomscroller tour go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local venue time.
