Dead & Company will get back on the road this summer with a newly announced batch of 2021 tour dates. The 31-date run will mark the Grateful Dead offshoot’s first shows since January 19th, 2020, when guitarist/vocalist Bob Weir, drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, guitarist/vocalist John Mayer, bassist/vocalist Oteil Burbridge, and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti wrapped up a sold-out weekend event in Mexico.

The tour will kick off on August 16th in Raleigh, NC and run through Halloween, when the band will perform a three-night run at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, CA (October 29th, 30th & 31st).
The Dead & Company 2021 tour also includes a night in New York at Citi Field (August 20th), two nights in Boston (September 2nd & 3rd), two nights at Wrigley Field in Chicago (September 17th & 18th), and two nights in Denver (October 22nd & 23rd), among others.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, May 21st at noon local time via Ticketmaster.
In order to ensure that tickets end up in the hands of fans, Fan Registration for the 2021 Dead & Company tour is now open here until Sunday, May 16th at 10:00 p.m. PT via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program. Verified Fan Presale will begin on Wednesday, May 19th at 10:00 a.m. local time and extends through Thursday, May 20th at 10:00 p.m. local time.
Dead & Company has also announced that the tour will once again join up with longtime sustainability partner REVERB. This summer, the band has committed to a comprehensive carbon offset program via Reverb’s unCHANGEit Climate Campaign, covering all projected emissions from this year’s tour—including fan travel to and from shows. These Dead & Company tour offsets will immediately fund important projects around the world and here at home that directly fight climate change and greenhouse gas emissions.
Dead & Company will once again offer a variety of enhanced experience packages including amenities like Loose Lucy’s Lounge access, early venue entry to branded lawn chairs, and limited-edition screen-printed posters, paired with premium concert tickets. Travel Packages that bundle concert tickets with local accommodations will also be available. All enhanced offerings and travel packages go on sale May 19th at 10:00 a.m. local venue time. Regarding health and safety, a press release notes, “The tour and all venues will be following all mandated precautions in accordance with state and local regulations so as to provide the most secure, Covid-19-free environment possible.”
The band had scheduled an extensive 2020 tour including a headlining slot at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, but all of the shows were canceled in April of last year as the pandemic continued to spread. While the rescheduled October 2021 edition of Jazz Fest has not yet confirmed its lineup, Dead & Company does notably have a weekend-long gap during the first weekend of the New Orleans festival (October 8th–October 10th).
The announcement of the Dead & Company 2021 summer tour follows the rapid sellout of the band’s two-weekend Playing In The Sand Mexican destination event, set to take place in early 2022.
