[12/15/21] Dead & Company has announced the lineup of supporting artists for the band’s two January 2022 Playing In The Sand destination events in Mexico set to take place January 7th–10th and January 13th–16th, respectively.
The twin 2022 editions of Playing In The Sand will feature supporting sets by L.A.-based funk-jam outfit The Main Squeeze, Nashville singer-songwriter Margo Price, and blues-rock guitar maven Celisse. The destination events will also feature late-night sets by The Main Squeeze, Femme House founder and producer/multi-instrumentalist LP Giobbi, and Cleveland, OH rock-reggae-funk troupe Tropidelic.
Playing In The Sand 2022 will mark the first year with two separate installments of the destination festival. The additional event was added due to overwhelming demand when the first set of dates quickly sold out.
While Playing In The Sand marked Dead & Company’s only shows of 2020, the band roared back to life in 2021 with a lengthy summer/fall tour. Revisit highlights, stats, and our picks for the best Dead & Company shows of 2021 here.
