This week, Dickey Betts announced several new additions to his 2018 comeback tour. The new swath of dates includes a headlining performance at Great South Bay Music Festival filling the “Very Special Headliner TBA” slot left open on July 15th when the festival announced their lineup last month. Also included is a performance at the storied Beacon Theatre in New York City on July 18th, where Betts has played many times with the Allman Brothers Band. The Beacon show will also feature support from the Marshall Tucker Band and The Devon Allman Project featuring his son, Duane Betts

According to his website, the 2018 Dickey Betts Band lineup will feature Dickey on guitar and vocals, his son Duane Betts on guitar, Frankie Lombardi and Steve Camilleri on drums, Mike Kach on keys and vocals, Pedro Arevalo on bass, and Damon Fowler also on guitar and vocals.

Betts’ first tour since his 2014 retirement will begin on May 17th at the Macon City Auditorium during a performance titled “Ear For Music & Friends With Benefits Present: The Dickey Betts Band” with support from The Devon Allman Project featuring his son, Duane Betts. Two days later, he will hit Florida Jam, also with Devon Allman and company. The tour picks back up with the Great South Bay date in mid-July, followed by the Beacon show and a headlining set at The Peach Music Festival, as well as theater shows in Ridgefield, CT and Staten Island, NY.
