Dropkick Murphys has announced its 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Tour, which will see support from The Bombpops and The Rumjacks. The tour will culminate in a special, four-night run in the Celtic-punk rockers’ hometown of Boston, with Jim Lindberg of Pennywise joining in on the fun for the final night.
First, Dropkick Murphys, The Bombpops, and The Rumjacks will kick things off on February, 21st at Santander Arena in Reading, PA. From there the tour will head to Rochester, NY (2/22); Cleveland, OH (2/24); Detroit, MI (2/25); Chicago, IL (2/26); and Madison, WI (2/27) before heading south for warmer weather.
Dropkick will bring the St. Patrick’s Day Tour to Texas in March for two shows in The Lone Star State. The band will hit Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin on the 1st, then head east to Houston on the 2nd for a stop at Bayou Music Center. Performances in New Orleans, LA (3/3); Chattanooga, TN (3/4); Lake Buena Vista, FL (3/6); St. Petersburg, FL (3/7); Fort Lauderdale, FL (3/8); Asheville, NC (3/10); Wilmington, NC (3/11); Washington, D.C. (3/12); and Albany, NY (3/14) will lead to the tour-ending four-night run in Boston.
March 17th–19th will see Dropkick, The Bombpops, and The Rumjacks perform at House of Blues. Then on Sunday, March 20th, Dropkick, The Rumjacks, and Jim Lindberg will head over to the new, 3,500 capacity Roadrunner venue on the Allston-Brighton line.
This tour announcement comes on the heels of Dropkick Murphys’ recent Boston To Berkeley II co-headlining tour with Rancid, which also featured performances at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL, and Aftershock in Sacramento, CA. The past two years have also seen Dropkick staging special virtual performances, including a unique show from the Fenway Park infield with Bruce Springsteen in 2020.
Tickets for all shows on the Dropkick Murphys’ St. Patrick’s Day Tour, aside from Houston, TX, go on sale Friday, November 12th, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
