Eggy and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country have announced a co-headlining tour, set to take the two fast-rising acts to 11 Southern cities in late November and early December of 2023.
The tour will begin in late November with performances at Columbia, SC’s The Senate (11/29) and Macon, GA’s Capitol Theatre (11/30). Cosmic Country and Eggy will roll on from there through the first half of December with shows at Savannah, GA’s Victory North (12/1), Jacksonville, FL’s Underbelly (12/2), Mobile, AL’s Soul Kitchen Music Hall (12/6), Houston, TX’s Rockefeller’s (12/7), Austin, TX’s The Mohawk (12/8), Dallas, TX’s Deep Ellum Art Company (12/9), Oklahoma City, OK’s Beer City Music Hall (12/10), Fayetteville, AR’s George’s Majestic Lounge (12/12), and Memphis, TN’s Railgarten (12/13).

Daniel Donato and Eggy have forged a cosmic connection since they first crossed paths at the 2022 edition of The Peach Music Festival. That weekend, the Cosmic Country guitarist joined in with Eggy for a memorable late-night rendition of Crosby, Stills & Nash‘s “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” before Eggy’s Jake Brownstein returned the favor by sitting in on a winding segment that took Phish’s “Back On The Train” through Waylon Jennings‘s “Waymore’s Blues” and back again during a Daniel Donato & Friends performance.
Last December, when Eggy stopped in Donato’s hometown of Nashville for a show at Acme Feed & Seed, Daniel jumped in with the Connecticut-based quartet once again for 45+ minutes of sprawling improvisation on Eric Clapton‘s “Lay Down Sally” and Eggy’s “Buying Time”. The two bands also linked up for a co-headlining performance in Hamilton, OH earlier this year.

Both acts have continued to raise their collective profiles in the time since. Donato, who also plays in Allman Brothers Band tribute act Trouble No More, recently joined Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann‘s Billy & The Kids family for performances in Baltimore, MD and New York, NY. Eggy just wrapped up a run of tour dates featuring a number of headlining shows in the Southeast and notable festival appearances at Richmond, VA’s JamPacked Festival and Bethel, NY’s Catbird Music Festival.
Pre-sale tickets for the winter 2023 Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country/Eggy tour go on sale on Wednesday, August 23rd at 10:00 a.m. local venue time using the code “LAUREL”. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 25th at 10:00 a.m. local venue time.
