Electron, the long-running experimental jamtronica project comprised of The Disco Biscuits members Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner along with Tom Hamilton (Ghost Light, JRAD), and Mike Greenfield (Lotus) will perform two shows at the Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA next month.

Announced on Friday, the quartet will play two fan-less shows on Friday, August 7th, and Saturday, August 8th, with both performances scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. local time. The performances will stream for free via the venue’s Facebook, YouTube, and Nugs.net, but the band is asking for donations to benefit their crew and the employees at the venue.

The August shows will be the first Electron performances since their thrilling appearance aboard Jam Cruise 18 on its final day at sea earlier this year. Though no one knew it at the time, Brownstein was essentially half-blind during Electron’s Jam Cruise show. As Brownie explained a few days later, he had begun experiencing a loss of eyesight in his right eye midway through the week-long nautical music event.

While nearly all live music in America remains on hiatus heading into July, Brownstein and Magner have already returned to action this summer with The Disco Biscuits with the band’s live-streamed performance from the infield dirt at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park late last month.
