Florence + The Machine is gearing up for their new album, High As Hope–due out on Friday, June 29th. To promote the upcoming music, the Florence Welch-led pop group released a brand new song, “Big God”. Co-written with Jamie xx, “Big God” features tasty contributions from jazz sax master Kamasi Washington. Listen to the new song below:
Florence + The Machine recently announced a North American tour that will feature opening support from Kamasi Washington, as well as St. Vincent, Grizzly Bear, Lizzo, Perfume Genius, Beth Ditto, Billie Eilish, and Wet. In addition to Jamie xx and Kamasi Washington, the upcoming album also features special guest collaborations with Tobias Jesso Jr. and Sampha. In related news, Kamasi Washington is about to release his own upcoming double album, titled Heaven And Earth, slated for release on Friday, June 22nd. The album will mark Washington’s first release since his 2017 audiovisual concept EP Harmony of Difference and his first full-length effort since his sprawling 2015 effort, The Epic.
