A free webcast of the upcoming Jim James and Teddy Abrams concert in New York City on Sunday, October 20th will be available via The Relix Channel. The show will see James and Abrams present their new orchestral project, The Order of Nature, at the intimate le poisson rouge along with members of the Louisville Orchestra.

Jim James and Teddy Abrams’ collaborative album, also titled The Order of Nature, is due out tomorrow, October 18th. The album is inspired by nature, social issues, equality, intolerance, human connection and acceptance. Described in a press release as “a large-scale symphonic suite,” The Order Of Nature is a collection of James’ thoughts on and fascination with the absence of hate in nature.

“The core idea to me is trying to reflect on the fact that nature doesn’t know how to hate,” says James, a Louisville native, in a press release. “Humans are part of nature, obviously, but why do we have this thing called hatred and how do we get rid of it?”

James, the My Morning Jacket frontman and acclaimed solo artist, teamed up with Abrams the Louisville Orchestra’s musical director, back in April 2018 for the debut of The Order Of Nature. However, the October 18th release of the record will include reworked songs from James’ solo catalog as well as new, unreleased compositions.
