A video has surfaced on YouTube of Ghost-Note jamming with nine year-old bass prodigy Aron Hodek.

The video comes from the band’s performance Monday night at Telegram Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA, when they invited Hodek to play the title track from their 2018 album Swagism. One of the most telling things about the sit-in is that Ghost-Note bassist Mononeon, who formerly toured with Prince, stepped aside to play electric guitar, allowing Hodek complete control of the low end.

The next stop for Ghost-Note is Denver Comes Alive where founding members Nate Werth and Robert “Sput” Searight, along with Mononeon, will join members of Soulive for a one-time superjam dubbed Ghost-Live. After that the band embarks on their recently-expanded 2020 tour, kicking off with a performance at Biamp PDX Jazz Festival with Liv Warfield at Revolution Hall in Portland, OR February 20th. Then the band begins a two-month trek playing shows across the United States, with a lone show in Canada February 22nd at Drumeo Festival in Vancouver, before hitting the road for festival season with appearances at LOCKN’ (6/19-21), High Sierra Music Festival (7/2-5), and 4848 Festival (7/9-11). Tickets and a full list of dates are available on the band’s website.
