While the band enjoys a brief respite between tour legs, Goose took a look back at its two-night run at The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheatre. On Sunday, the Connecticut-bred quintet shared a marathon video of “Elmeg The Wise”, “Madhuvan” > “Spirit Of The Dark Horse” taken on 5/9/21 in Pelham, TN.

In an unorthodox move, Goose chose to release a trans-set video with “Elmeg The Wise” wrapping the first set before the band returned with “Madhuvan” to open the second frame. While Goose had already played a healthy first set by the “Elmeg” began, the song’s jam was ultimately cut short as the crowd was pelted with a dumping rainshower.

Up until that point, the crowds at The Caverns Above Ground had already endured a steady stream of rain, but then it turned into a full-on onslaught. Luckily, there were the dry Caverns below where fans were invited to ride out the storm.

After a minimally extended set break, Goose returned to the stage as conditions had nearly cleared entirely. The band brought some extra equipment to the stage for set two, however, as multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach was now protected by a pop-up 10×10 canopy. Even the band couldn’t help marvel at the unorthodox stage set up, with guitarist Rick Mitarotonda coyly asking, “can we all have tents?”

All jokes aside, it was time for the band to get back to business, which it did with the long-awaited “Madhuvan” that fans had been pining after the entire no-repeat leg of spring tour. The lengthy and experimental jam—which bordered on type II territory—led into “Spirit Of The Dark Horse” before an eventual “Madhuvan” reprise to ring the last drops out of the track.
