Goose has followed Thursday’s surprise release of new single “Royal” with the news that the band will return to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, August 13th.

This will mark the Connecticut-native jam quartet’s second time appearing on the Jimmy Fallon-hosted NBC late-night show following a performance of “Dripfield” back in December of 2022. A few months after the band’s Tonight Show debut, Fallon joined Goose onstage at Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre to sing lead on a cover of “Mustang Sally”.

The Tonight Show announcement follows the surprise release of new single “Royal” on Thursday via No Coincidence Records. The track plants its feet firmly from the first note, setting up a tight groove with its opening riff. Dirty guitar licks, accented by playful Wurlitzer hits, introduce the story of Royal, a transient musician whose burning ambition threatens to get the best of him. Following the group’s celebrated debut at Madison Square Garden in June, Goose returns to the road next week with an eagerly anticipated performance at Park City, UT’s Park City Song Summit (August 14-16) followed by headline dates, festival appearances, and more throughout August, September, and October. Highlights include a one-night-only show as special guest to Dave Matthews Band set for Sunday, August 31st at George, WA’s The Gorge Amphitheatre, a sold-out headline performance at Burlington, VT’s Waterfront Park (September 14th), and two-night stands at Louisville, KY’s historic The Louisville Palace (September 23rd–24th) and Richmond, VA’s Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront (October 2nd–3rd), as well as the band’s 12th annual Goosemas holiday celebration, set for December 12th–13th at Providence, RI’s Amica Mutual Pavilion. $1 from every ticket sold for Goosemas will benefit Backline, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources.

After thrilling last month’s Newport Folk Festival in Newport, RI with a guest appearance by Kenny Loggins for a rendition of his Top Gun classic “Danger Zone”, Goose is also set to make a number of top-billed festival appearances in the coming months, including Fredericton, NB’s Harvest Music Festival (September 12th), Las Vegas, NV’s RISE (October 5th), and Live Oak, FL’s Suwanee Hulaween (October 30th–November 2nd).
