Goose finished its conquest of the three major networks by making its debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC. The group’s performance of “Dripfield” on Wednesday came after crossing off ABC‘s Jimmy Kimmel Live! and CBS Mornings earlier this year.

The title track from the Connecticut five-piece’s 2022 album—edged out last month by the surprise EP Undecided as its most recent release—”Dripfield” is a bold rhythmic experiment. Bathed in the same pink and blue pastels that adorn the album’s cover, the four-armed percussive machine that is drummer Ben Atkind and auxiliary percussionist Jeffrey Arevalo pound out the unique signature as guitarist Rick Mitarotonda hums the lyrics.

Of course, an appearance on network television doesn’t allow the band to deploy much of its trademark improvisation, but by choosing a song like “Dripfield” Goose was able to broadcast its singular songwriting voice to homes across the country.

As host Jimmy Fallon notes, the band’s appearance comes the day after announcing a 14-city, 20-show spring tour. That monthlong run of concerts will carry the indie groove band to venues new and old, including Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, The Salt Shed in Chicago, The Warfield in San Francisco, and many more.
