Long Island’s Great South Bay Music Festival has revealed the Saturday lineup for their 2019 event, set to take place July 18th–21st at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, NY.
In keeping with tradition, the artists are loosely dispersed by genre across the event’s four days. The newly announced Saturday, July 20th lineup could be referred to as “Jam Day,” as Lotus, Dweezil Zappa, Spafford, Assembly of Dust, and Pink Talking Fish have been tapped to perform, with additional artist additions to be announced.
In contrast, the lineup for Thursday, July 18th at Great South Bay features a number of hardcore/alt-rock favorites like Taking Back Sunday, Glassjaw, The Menzingers, and Frank Iero and the Future Violents. The lineup for Friday, July 19th is focused predominantly on reggae, with Slightly Stoopid, Sublime with Rome, SOJA, and Common Kings slated to perform.
The Sunday, July 21st lineup has yet to be announced, though if the genre spread by day continues to mirror the 2018 lineup, it should be exciting for jam fans. Last year, the Sunday Great South Bay lineup featured performances by a number of long-running rock acts like Dickey Betts, Electric Hot Tuna, Little Feat, Devon Allman Project featuring Duane Betts, and more. The festival has noted that their 2019 Sunday lineup is coming this week, so we hopefully won’t have to wait much longer to hear what’s in store for the final day of Great South Bay 2019.
