H.E.R. was among the official opening acts for Super Bowl LV on Sunday and unlike some of the players for Kansas City, the Grammy– (and Golden Globe-) nominated singer and guitarist did not disappoint on the national stage as she delivered a sublime and inspiring performance of “America The Beautiful” to start the telecast.

Armed with her signature model “Chrome Glow” Fender Stratocaster, H.E.R. guided viewers through the patriotic song’s familiar melodies with confidence and authority, only to step on her overdrive pedal and shred her way through the song’s climatic second half with support from a backing band.
