The festival, held at The Avenue of Saints Amphitheater in St. Charles, IA, opens on Friday, July 31st with performances from Of Monsters and Men, Old Crow Medicine Show, Wallows, Orville Peck, Yola, Shura, and Hex Girls. Saturday, August 1st will feature Tyler Childers, Kaleo, Tanya Tucker, The Devil Makes Three, Shooter Jennings, Paul Cauthen, The Dip, Kelsey Waldon, and Lillie May. The final day of the festival, Sunday August 2nd, will host Leon Bridges, Khruangbin, Mt. Joy, Weyes Blood, Hamilton Leithauser, Charley Crockett, Bendigo Fletcher, and Vincent Neil Emerson.
While Khruangbin and Leon Bridges are billed separately, they are both headlining on the same night, which most likely means they will not have overlapping sets. Given the recent release of the collaborative EP Texas Sun from Bridges and Khruangbin, there is a fair chance of a sit-in during at least one of their sets.
Tickets for Hinterland go on sale this Friday, February 14th at 10 a.m. through the festival’s website.
