If you didn’t score tickets to the sold-out SOULSHINE: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief and Recovery show at Madison Square Garden you can still support the mission from home with a concert livestream. Set to air on Sunday, November 24th from 7 to 11 p.m. ET, SOULSHINE will support relief efforts in North Carolina and Florida in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The day after wrapping a sold-out two-night run at MSG, Dave Matthews Band will co-host SOULSHINE alongside Asheville, NC native Warren Haynes and his eponymous solo band. Also on tap for the four-hour benefit concert are Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Goose, in addition to special guests Trey Anastasio, Mavis Staples, Robert Randolph, Joe Russo, Trombone Shorty, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, and more to be announced.
The SOULSHINE livestream will broadcast for free on YouTube via the Dave Matthews Band’s channel. Viewers tuning in will have the chance to donate and support the relief efforts of various non-profits, as well as purchase exclusive event merchandise. Net proceeds from the concert will benefit the SOULSHINE Concert Fund at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, supporting Habitat for Humanity’s 2024 Hurricane Recovery Fund. Among the beneficiaries are local charities Arts AVL, Habitat Fall Hurricane Fund, Manna Foodbank, Beloved Asheville, Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN, Always Asheville Fund, WNC Tip it forward, and Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay. “The damage and destruction caused by Hurricane Helene to my beloved home of Asheville and all of Western North Carolina has truly devastated me,” shared Warren Haynes along with the SOULSHINE announcement. “Every year, it is my honor to host the Christmas Jam and give back to the community there, but this year, we need to do things a bit differently. I’m thrilled to partner with my good friends in Dave Matthews Band and so many other musician friends to bring SOULSHINE to the iconic Madison Square Garden and help raise money for all those affected by both hurricanes throughout North Carolina and Florida. My heart is with you all and we look forward to creating a really special night!”
