On Wednesday night, The Infamous Stringdusters continued their 2019 fall tour with a performance at Greenville, NC’s State Theatre. For their second set, The Dusters delivered a “Dead Set” comprised entirely of material the Grateful Dead played. Montana-based bluegrass quartet Kitchen Dwellers handled the evening’s opening duties.

The Infamous Stringdusters opened up their first set with “It’ll Be Alright”, off of the band’s 2010 Things That Fly album. The quintet moved forward with “Let Me Know, “Long Time Going”, and a cover of The Cure‘s “Just Like Heaven”. The band moved forward with “Truth & Love”, off of their recently released Rise Sun album, which was followed up by a cover of Bobby “Blue” Bland‘s “Turn On Your Lovelight”. The Dusters continued with “Once You’re Gone”, “Get It While You Can”, and a set-closing take on “Y2K”.

Following a brief setbreak, The Infamous Stringdusters returned to the stage to open up their Dead set with “Big River”, which was followed up by a bevy of Grateful Dead classics including “Scarlet Begonias”, “Mr. Charlie”, “He’s Gone”, “Brown Eyed Women”, “Terrapin Station”, and a set-closing pairing of Charlie Monroe‘s “Rosalee McFall” into “Tennessee Jed”. The five-piece returned to deliver a long encore of “Rise Sun”.

Tonight, Thursday, November 7th, The Infamous Stringdusters continue their tour with a performance at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC. For a full list of The Infamous Stringdusters’ upcoming tour dates and more information, head to the band’s website.
