After making its debut in 2018, Inkcarceration has become a central Ohio institution. Last year saw the event chart its biggest gathering yet with over 75,000 attendees. This was made possible by a revamp of the festival grounds, allowing for more fans. Event organizers also partnered with Danny Wimmer Presents, one of the largest production companies in the United States and the producer of Rock On The Range, Louder Than Life, fellow Ohio metal festival Sonic Temple, and more.
“The 2022 edition will be, by far, our most ambitious year yet,” Inkcarceration co-founder Daniel Janssen says. “The partnership with the Danny Wimmer Presents team has really enhanced all aspects of the festival and fan experience. Seeing the excitement this event continues to bring to this state and city of Mansfield, along with the fan support from all over the country, makes me so proud to call Ohio my home.”
In addition to three days of music, Inkcarceration attendees will have access to a consortium of the tattoo industry. The tattoo convention allows fans to book onsite appointments with over 30 artists and shops. Nightly tattoo competitions will be judged by musician Jenncity, actor Robert LaSardo, and tattooist Caleb Neff. Tours of the historic Ohio State Reformatory are also included with the price of admission.
