When we last spoke to Jans Ingber, the former Motet frontman said he would be working with some of his musician friends on new projects. “I have built musical relationships with hundreds of musicians who I now have the time to work with on a deeper level,” he said. “I imagine that you will be seeing many collaborations as a performer, producer and songwriter. It’s pretty exciting.”
The excitement comes to a head in May, as Ingber has formed the Jans Ingber’s Funk Fellowship. So far, Ingber has two performances on the books, one on May 6th in Portland, OR’s Star Theater and the other on May 13th in Denver, CO’s Cervantes Other Side.
The Portland show will feature Joe Dart (Vulfpeck), Corey Frye (Main Squeeze), Jarrod Lawson and more, while the Denver show features Dart, Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy), Erik Deutsch (Citizen Cope), Alwyn Robinson (Leftover Salmon) and more!
More info for the Portland show can be found here, and more info about the Denver show can be found here. Have fun!
