Yesterday, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead continued their ongoing weekly “RAD TRACKS” video series with a brand new pro-shot video from the band’s March 18th, 2017 performance at Brooklyn Bowl with Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge filling in while regular bassist Dave Dreiwitz was pulling Ween duty in Chicago.

The band has previously shared footage of their cover of the Allman Brothers Band‘s “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” from the same performance as part of the RAD TRACKS series, and this week they have added another selection from their 3/18/17 performance to the list: their set-closing “Duo Jam” (from Joe Russo and Marco Benevento) -> “Ruben & Cherise”  -> “Viola Lee Blues” (featuring a pronounced “China Cat Sunflower” tease) with help from tenor sax man Stuart Bogie.

The three Brooklyn Bowl shows featuring Oteil proved to be the beginning of a potent musical partnership between the Almost Dead crew and the veteran bassist. Later that month Burbridge and fellow Dead & Company member Jeff Chimenti joined the band for an unforgettable “Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (& Company)” set at Fool’s Paradise in St. Augustine, FL. Later, after weather forced the band to move their Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut inside to 1st Bank Center (making it their arena debut instead), Russo and company announced a rescheduled Red Rocks date for later this year, once again featuring Oteil subbing in on bass.

The video marks the 94th edition of “RAD TRACKS,” shot and edited by Sean Smith of Foggy Notions Productions. You can download the video here or watch Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s full Duo Jam jam with Oteil Burbridge and Stuart Bogie from Brooklyn Bowl on 3/18/17 below, via the band’s YouTube page:

Next up for Joe Russo’s Almost Dead is a performance at Green River Festival in Greenfield, MA on July 16th. For a full list of upcoming dates, or to purchase tickets, head to the band’s website.
