Australian-based band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will return to North America this summer for a run of performances in the U.S. and Canada throughout the month of August and into September. The band, which specializes in their own unique style of power psychedelia, returned to the headlines last week with the release of their new single, “Cyboogie”.
The band’s upcoming return to North America will begin on August 13th with a show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The initial run of shows along the western U.S. and Canada will continue with two nights at the new SVN West (the old Fillmore West space) in San Francisco, CA (8/14-15); Roseland Theater in Portland, OR (8/16); the Harbour Event Centre in Vancouver, BC (8/17); the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA (8/18); and The Depot in Salt Lake City, UT (8/20). The band is also scheduled to play a show in Denver on August 21st, although the exact location has yet to be determined.

The tour will continue across the midwest and on to the east coast with more shows at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI (8/23); Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL (8/24); Olympia in Montreal QC (8/26); Central Park SummerStage in New York City (8/28); 9:30 Club in Washington, DC (8/31); the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA (9/2); Stubb’s in Austin, TX (9/4); and The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX (9/6). King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard stated in Wednesday’s announcement that they plan on treating their North American fans to some “new songs & new visuals,” meaning another King Gizzard studio album could arrive by the time they reach American shores come August.
