KISS brought its End of the Road World Tour to Bridgestone Arena Monday night for the band’s final show in Nashville, TN.
Founding members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and their longtime compatriots Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer arrived in music city by way of Cleveland, where they were honored on Sunday at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the city’s first-ever Music Keynote to the City and a KISS Day Proclamation for October 22, 2023, the day of their final show in the city. With the band’s last-ever performances in their native New York City rapidly approaching, KISS road the wave of Sunday’s ceremony into Nashville ready to rock and roll all night, and blow some stuff up in the process.
The band stuck to the End of the Road script, at this point executing the show like a finely tuned machine. In addition to the band’s signature fireworks and smoke bombs and Gene Simmons’ fire- and blood-spitting routines, the concert featured the tour’s standard setlist spanning from KISS’ 1974 self-titled debut to the band’s 2009 album Sonic Boom (no tracks from 2012’s Monster made the cut).
