Adverse Yaw: The Prawn Song Years, a new special-edition vinyl box set, will highlight some of the various projects led by Primus bassist/bandleader Les Claypool, including the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, Colonel Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains, and The Fancy Band.
Due out February 9th, the box set will include Live Frogs Sets 1 & 2, Purple Onion, Of Whales & Woe, and Of Fungi & Foe LPs, as well as a remastered, limited edition, colored 180-gram vinyl of The Big Eyeball In the Sky. The collection is available for pre-order via Club Bastardo with bundle options that come with an exclusive t-shirt and a limited-edition screen-printed poster designed by Matt Leunig.
Les Claypool kicks off the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade’s The Hunt for Green October Tour this week in Oakland. In addition to giving fans one last chance to witness the band’s take on Pink Floyd‘s Animals, which the group will performed in its entirety each night, the tour will also feature deeper cuts the band didn’t play during its summer tour.
Fans are encouraged to “let their frog flag fly” by wearing their most creative costumes. One costume-clad fan will be selected at each show will to receive an autographed show poster, and all general admission shows will have a special green section near the stage, the “lilypad,” for attendees dressed in costume or donning the Fearless Flying Brigade Frog Hat.
