Little Feat will stage a pair of all-star shows celebrating Waiting For Columbus at the Ryman Auditorium later this month. The two-night stand at the famed Nashville, TN venue on March 16th and 17th will feature Billy Strings, JoJo Hermann (Widespread Panic), and more.
The run opens on the 16th with Little Feat alongside Strings, Rosanne Cash, Tommy Emmanuel, Jeff Hanna, Amy Helm, John Leventhal, and Charlie Starr. The legacy rock band then finishes out its stand at The Mother Church of Country Music the following night with Hermann, Eric Church, Jeff Hanna, Amy Helm, Connor Kennedy, and Bettye Lavette. Night one will feature an opening set from Ida Mae while Amy Helm will start the show on night two. PBS will tape both shows for future release as a concert special.
These shows come as part of Little Feat’s upcoming tour celebrating the 45th anniversary of its seminal 1978 live album, Waiting For Columbus. The tour begins tomorrow, March 4th, at Columbus, OH’s Southern Theater. Each show will see the band perform Waiting For Columbus—featuring such classics as “Fat Man In The Bath Tub“, “Spanish Moon”, “All That You Dream”, “Willin'”, and more—in its entirety.
