Margo Price has announced a special drive-in movie double header dubbed A Perfectly Imperfect Night at The Movies, scheduled for December 2nd at the Stardust Drive-In Theatre just outside of Nashville. The evening will see the premiere of Price’s Perfectly Imperfect at The Ryman live concert film followed by a showing of the 2019 documentary, Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice.

To go along with Friday’s announcement, Price has also released the Perfectly Imperfect at The Ryman live album on all streaming platforms. The live recording was originally released as a Bandcamp exclusive this past spring for MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, but today is available everywhere. At the drive-in event next month, Nashville institution Grimey’s New & Pre-Loved Music will also have the live album on vinyl ahead of its official December 4th physical release date.

Recorded at the legendary Nashville venue in May 2018, Perfectly Imperfect at The Ryman offers an 11-track performance spanning the singer-songwriter’s burgeoning career as well as choice covers of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson. The evening also saw special guest appearances from Emmylou Harris, Sturgill Simpson, and Jack White.

To go along with the album’s release and drive-in announcement, Price has also shared live footage of her “Hurtin’ (On The Bottle) Melody” from the evening. This trio of tunes saw her wonderfully string together her own “Hurtin’ (On The Bottle)” with Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink” and Nelson’s “Whiskey River”. Released on her first single back in 2015, “Hurtin'” immediately established Price’s vintage, country-revivalist sound and flows perfectly into the two hits from country giants.
