Fast food giant McDonald’s has announced a new promotional collaboration with bluegrass star Billy Strings. For a limited time, fans will be able to order The Billy Strings Meal at participating McDonald’s restaurants.

According to a press release from McDonald’s USA,”Grammy Award®-winning guitarist, singer and bandleader Billy Strings is turning new fans on to bluegrass in droves with his unique blend of traditional sounds and improvisational rock sensibilities. Much like his music, Billy Strings’ McDonald’s order mixes time-tested classics with creative new accompaniments.”

Available for a limited time starting April 20th, The Billy Strings Meal will include a “Grass-Fed*” Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger with tangy onion jam, large World Famous Fries®, large Royal® Watermelon Soda, a 3.5-piece Nugs, and “Red Daisy” sauce—the same Spicy Buffalo sauce you know and love, re-named in honor of the new meal. [*Disclaimer: “Grass-Fed” is a promotional term and is not related to official USDA quality designations].

Billy is the latest artist to be featured on McDonald’s menu since the current Famous Orders program kicked off in 2020 with a Travis Scott meal. McDonald’s has previously featured Famous Orders from reggaeton superstar J Balvin, K-Pop icons BTS, hit-making rapper Saweetie, pop diva Mariah Carey, and hip-hop couple power couple Cardi B and Offset.

“We’re thrilled to team up with Billy, a true rising star in the music world,” said McDonald’s USA Director of Music Marketing Maggie Little. “It must be seven years since I first saw him live, and ever since then I’ve wanted to do a Famous Order with him. He always seemed like he would really just have fun with it.”

As Strings said of the promotion in a statement, “I am truly blown away by The Billy Strings Meal at McDonald’s—not because I’m particularly honored or anything, but because I put a literal eighth of flower in my order and they still let it fly. I’m loving it… and also kind of regretting it. They’re one in the same. That’s McDonald’s in a nutshell, y’all.”

Note: Program available only at participating McDonald’s in states in which recreational cannabis has been legalized. Must be 21 years of age or older to order. Terms and conditions apply.
