Midnight North is offering fans a look behind the making of their forthcoming studio album, There’s Always A Story, due out on May 4th.

The fourth album from the West Coast rock band since their full-length debut End of the Night arrived back in 2013 marks a new era for Midnight North, as There’s Always A Story is the first to feature drummer Nathan Graham, as well as the group’s first studio offering as a quartet.

The first video as part of a behind-the-scenes series leading up to the album’s arrival in May is quick to note the strategy for the recording process during lockdown periods for this album. Singer/guitarist Grahame Lesh is heard saying, “These songs came together in a new way for us. Instead of workshopping these songs on stage, we came to the studio with producer David-Simon Baker ready to help mold each other’s ideas,” while studio/tracking/rehearsal mashup footage plays throughout the one-minute video.

The band has already released a pair of singles that will appear on There’s Always A Story with “Good Days” and “Wild Card“.
