Last week, to the joy of fans everywhere, moe. announced two shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, marking the first shows back since the band’s surprise hiatus over the summer following bassist Rob Derhak’s cancer diagnosis. The shows at The Capitol Theatre instantly sold-out, and now the band has added one more show on the schedule in 2018—a performance at the legendary outdoor Colorado venue Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 12th.

moe. Announces First Shows Back With Bassist Rob Derhak

moe.’s 2018 Red Rocks show is sure to be particularly special for fans and the band alike—the group’s highly anticipated Red Rocks show this summer with Twiddle and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong was canceled, as it fell after Derhak’s treatment for Nasopharyngeal cancer had begun. Luckily, Rob’s treatment has clearly been going well, and we’re all looking forward to catching moe. on the road next year.

As Rob explained in a press release, ““It’s been a tough few months, and I couldn’t have done it without the overwhelming support of my family, and my famoe.ly. And although it’s still not clear what the future brings, the positivity and love that I’m feeling for moe.’s and my next chapter is beyond exciting. I feel like a kid counting down the days until Christmas, and our energy as a band, is like nothing I’ve experienced before. Thank you all for the well wishes, prayers, and healing vibes.”
