The creative musical force known as MonoNeon didn’t waste much time to release a new album to start the year.

The colorful bassist and guitarist independently released a nine-track album entitled, Banana Peel on Capitol Hill to his Bandcamp page on Monday. The album’s tracklisting includes previously-released 2020 singles “Breathing While Black” and “Find The Gold”, along with a mix of uniquely-titled recordings like “Uglybeautiful (Not so Awful as It Seems)” and “Slipping On A Banana Peel (On Capitol Hill)”.

As per usual with his solo work, MonoNeon played all the instruments for the recordings on the album, although he was joined by Sam “RetroPMas” Porter who played drums on “Find The Gold” and Nicholas Semrad who played piano on “Slipping on a Banana Peel”.

MonoNeon’s first full-length release of 2021 follows up what was another busy 2020 for the Ghost-Note bassist, who self-released a mix of stand-alone singles and album projects throughout last year including Sweat Heart and Toxic Wasteland 2 The Hills.
