Touch me I’m going to scream: My Morning Jacket has announced a United States summer tour. The Kentucky indie psych-pop outfit will play a mix of headlining shows and festival dates culminating with a two-night run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado in late August.
The new tour dates begin on May 14th in Mobile, AL followed the next night by a show in Jackson, MS. After that, MMJ will head abroad for “One Big Holiday”, including gigs in London and Manchester, U.K., as well as Europe’s Primavera Sound.
Returning to native soil, My Morning Jacket’s U.S. tour kicks into gear on June 15th in St. Augustine, FL. During a run through the Southeast, the band will perform at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN (6/17) ahead of a jaunt through America’s heartland with shows in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, two concerts in the group’s native Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.
In July, My Morning Jacket will perform at The Peach Music Festival and FloydFest before the tour winds down with a West Coast leg in August. Newly announced dates in Oregon, Arizona, and San Diego, CA come in addition to the band’s previously announced three-night stint in California with Fleet Foxes in Berkley (8/18, 8/19) and Los Angeles (8/20). Finally, the tour wraps with two nights at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO on August 25th and 26th.
