My Morning Jacket shared another new single, “Complex”, on Friday. This latest track comes ahead of the release of a new studio LP, My Morning Jacket, out on October 22nd via ATO Records.

Compared to other previously released MMJ singles “Regularly Scheduled Programming” and “Love Love Love“, “Complex” carries a bit more bite. Anchored by a distorted guitar riff, the song is a natural stadium rocker as frontman Jim James apathetically belts out “Eh, you get what pay for/Eh, what are you waitin’ for?!” With a roaring guitar solo, “Complex” was tailor-made for the stage, though the song has yet to be performed live.
