The internet has been gripped by a mystery about the millennial-favorite club anthem “Low” by Flo Rida and T-Pain and whether the famous line “boots with the fur” referred to a pair of furry boots or an outfit combing a fur coat and boots. According to Luke Burbank and Andrew “Boom Boom” Walsh, hosts of the Too Beautiful To Live podcast, the mystery has been solved.

The debate began when Reba McEntire posted a photo before singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl with the caption, “Boots with the fur…#SuperBowl ready! 🏈” Astute observers quickly noticed that the country music star was referring to her fur coat and boots combo rather than boots with fur on them, prompting a viral tweet reading, “Okay this is the first time I have considered that the boots themselves did not have the fur.”

In a recent episode of their podcast Too Beautiful To Live, Burbank and Walsh put their detective skills to the test. The pair cleverly looks to the song’s music video and confirms it does feature a woman wearing fur-lined boots, not a fur coat. The finding comes as no surprise to millennials, who remember how popular furry boots were in the club when the song came out.
