[UPDATE 1/26/24]: Lovers & Friends, the Las Vegas nostalgia fest that recently announced a one-day 2024 lineup stacked with hip-hop and R&B icons of the late ’90s and early 2000s, opened its ticket pre-sale window on Friday and quickly sold out. Much like When We Were Young, the emo-focused festival that takes place at the same venue, organizers have now set their sights on adding a second day.
After posting that they were experiencing a high volume of requests soon after Friday’s pre-sale launched, the third-year, Live Nation-produced event posted again to inform would-be buyers that all tickets had sold out and offer them the option to join a waitlist for a potential second day of the event.
In other Lovers & Friends news, one of the headliners initially announced as part of the loaded artist roster, Mary J. Blige, informed fans that she should not have been on the poster. In an Instagram story, she wrote, “I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends Festival. Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later! I have the greatest fans in the world and I can’t wait to see you in New York in a few short months!”

[1/23/24]: Lovers & Friends has announced the star-studded lineup for its 2024 event, due to take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Saturday, May 4th.
The festival’s artist roster caters to fans of various mainstream genres in the late ’90s and early 2000s—sort of like if emo/pop-punk nostalgia fest When We Were Young had a cousin who was a couple years older and watched 106 & Park and Direct Effect every day after school. In addition to top-billed acts Janet Jackson, Usher (performing Confessions), and Backstreet Boys, Lovers & Friends festival 2024 will feature performances by Lil Wayne (performing Tha Carter III), Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Nas, Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado, Ciara, Ludacris, Nelly, TLC, Ja Rule & Ashanti, M.I.A., T-Pain, Akon, and Ne-Yo.
The lineup maintains its grasp on the pulse of the early 2000s dominance from top to bottom with familiar names and faces like Kelly Rowland, Sean Paul, Jason Derulo, Robin Thicke, Tyrese, Method Man & Redman, Rick Ross, Jeezy, Fat Joe, T.I., E-40, Pretty Ricky, Ginuwine, Kelis, Ma$e, JoJo, Maya, Jeremih, Dru Hill, Keri Hilson, Lupe Fiasco, Too $hort, Cam’ron, Twista, Juvenile, Paul Wall, Ying Ying Twins, David Banner, and more rounding out the bill.
A ticket pre-sale period for Lovers & Friends 2024, produced by Live Nation and Redrock Entertainment, will begin on Friday, January 26th at 10:00 a.m. PT. Sign up for access now via the event website to ensure your spot in the pre-sale. A public on-sale will follow if supplies remain.
