The tour is being billed as a continuation of the Love Earth Tour—the same name given to the 2024 trek with Crazy Horse that Young eventually canceled midway through due to illness.
The iconic rocker and his latest backing band, The Chrome Hearts—Spooner Oldham (Farfisa organ), Micah Nelson (guitar, vocals), Corey McCormick (bass and vocal), and Anthony LoGerfo (drums)—will kick off the lengthy 2025 summer tour in Europe with June and July shows in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany. Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts will then head back to the States in August for a run of amphitheater dates in Charlotte, NC (8/8), Richmond, VA (8/10), and Detroit, MI (8/13) ahead of a gig in Young’s native Canada at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage (8/17).
Following shows in Gilford, NH (8/21), Wantagh, NY (8/23), and Chicago, IL (8/27), Young and The Chrome Hearts will head west for September performances at Greenwood Village, CO’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre (9/1), George, WA’s The Gorge (9/5), Vancouver, BC’s Deer Lake Park (9/6), Bend, OR’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater (9/10), and Mountain View, CA’s Shoreline Amphitheater (9/12) ahead of the Love Earth Tour‘s final night at Los Angeles, CA’s Hollywood Bowl (9/15). The initial announcement also notes that “more dates will be added shortly.”
“Music unites! We will be there with you! Join us all as we celebrate the Summer of Democracy,” Young wrote about the tour on February 18th in a since-deleted post on Neil Young Archives, per Far Out Magazine. “Old songs and new songs. Old words and new words. Long jams! We will come together this summer. The Chrome Hearts and I are ready for you! LOVE and Democracy reigns in the USA and the world.”
Young previously teased a tour with The Chrome Hearts earlier this month when he revealed that the band has recorded a new album he hopes to release in April. After releasing their debut single “big change” last month, Young teased the new album and a tour to go along with it.
Per an announcement press release, “Neil Young is proud to partner with Farm Aid (co-founded by Neil Young in 1985) to bring HOMEGROWN Concessions to this tour, leading the way to change the live music food system. HOMEGROWN Concessions brings family farm food — produced sustainably with a fair price paid to the farmer and served on compostable serviceware — to music venues.”

Young previously teased a tour with The Chrome Hearts earlier this month when he revealed that the band has recorded a new album he hopes to release in April. The new group features Willie Nelson’s son Micah Nelson, bassist Corey McCormick, and drummer Anthony Logerfo scrapped from Lukas Nelson’s backing band Promise of the Real, plus organist Spooner Oldham. After releasing their debut single “big change” last month ahead of President Donald Trump‘s inauguration, Young teased the new album and a tour to go along with it.
“Playing with the Chrome Hearts was a joy as we recorded song after song at Shangrila in Malibu,” Young wrote on the Neil Young Archives. “I wrote these songs in November and December. They feel fresh to me and I am very happy to have this all ready for you. It won’t be long now and it will be great to have new songs to play on the road this summer in Europe, the USA and Canada. We are looking forward to that!”
