All three surviving members of Nirvana reunited for a performance at The Palladium in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday night. A rotating cast of BeckSt. Vincent, and Violet Grohl joined Dave GrohlKrist Novoselic, and Pat Smear for a five-song performance at the “Heaven Is Rock And Roll” gala.

The concert saw supporting performances by Cheap TrickMarylin Manson, and L7. Additionally, the event benefitted The Art of Elysium, an L.A. based charity that pairs volunteer artists with individuals facing difficult emotional challenges.

Reunited for only the second time since 2017, they began with “Lithium”, off Nirvana’s 1991 release Nevermind, and featured St. Vincent on vocals and guitar with Beck also playing guitar. Of course, Grohl was behind the kit with Smear on rhythm guitar while Novoselic provided the low-end on bass. They then ran through “Bloom” which featured both Beck and St. Vincent on vocals, before Beck took over vocals on the Kurt Cobain-penned “Been A Son”.

Next, Grohl’s daughter Violet made her way to the stage to sing “Heart-Shaped Box”. The group closed with a cover of David Bowie‘s “The Man Who Sold the World” where, once again, Beck took over vocal responsibilities.
