Paul McCartney has announced five new U.S. performances, officially bringing his recently announced ‘Freshen Up’ Tour to the United States.
McCartney’s first U.S. date will take place May 27th, at Raleigh, NC’s PNC Arena, marking the iconic musician’s first show in the City of Oaks in over a decade. McCartney will then head south to Greenville, SC’s Bon Secours Wellness Arena, marking his debut appearance in Greenville. Sir Paul will then take things to Lexington, KY’s Rupp Arena on June 1st before heading to Madison, WI’s Kohl Center on June 6th. The final show of the most recent announcement will take place June 11th at Moline, IL’s Taxslayer Center.
Earlier this summer, Paul McCartney announced that he would embark on a run of 2018 concert dates dubbed The ‘Freshen Up’ Tour. The announcement included just four dates, all of which were set to take place in Canada this September. He also announced European shows later in the year, leaving a window in his schedule that many predicted would be filled by dates in the States.
The ‘Freshen Up’ Tour will mark Sir Paul’s first series of live dates since the ‘One On One’ tour that played to some two million fans over the course of 2016 and 2017. The ‘Freshen Up’ tour will also be Paul’s first outing following the release of his brand-new studio album, Egypt Station, due out September 7th on Capitol Records.
McCartney has a busy upcoming week, with appearances on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, September 5th, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the following night, September 6th.
Tickets for the most recent ‘Freshen Up’ Tour dates announced go on sale Friday, September 7th, at 10 a.m. local time.
