Today, Pearl Jam has announced “The Away Shows,” a run of 5 performances predominantly taking place in Major League Baseball stadiums, which will follow “The Home Shows,” the band’s first concerts in their hometown of Seattle in half a decade.

The first Away Show is set to take place at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, MT on August 13th. From there, Pearl Jam will host two separate two-night runs at Chicago, IL’s Wrigley Field (the home of Eddie Vedder‘s beloved Chicago Cubs) on August 18th and 20th, and at Boston, MA’s Fenway Park (the home of the Boston Red Sox) on September 2nd and 4th. This announcement confirms the rest of the dates that were leaked briefly on the Pearl Jam website last week.

“The Away Shows” will follow “The Home Shows” at the Seattle Mariners‘ Safeco Field, during which the band intends to donate at least $1 million from ticket sales toward causes that benefit Seattle’s homeless population. They also plan to raise an addition $10 million in collaboration with area businesses, government agencies, and non-profits. With 100,000 fans expected to attend “The Home Shows,” they are expected to be the largest headlining concert event in Seattle since The Rolling Stones visited the city in 1981.

Other than “The Home Shows” & “The Away Shows” (7 performances in all), the remainder of Pearl Jam’s scheduled dates are overseas. In March, the band will head to South America for four performances including Lollapaloozaevents in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, and an extra stadium show in Rio thrown in for good measure. In June and July, the band will make their way through Europe on a 14-date run stopping in the Netherlands, the U.K., Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Spain, and Portugal.

A pre-sale period for the band’s “Ten Club” fan club will begin February 7th at 10am Pacific. Full Ten Club Presale details can be found here.

General Public Pre-Sale via Ticketmaster Verified Fan ticketing will take place Friday, February 16th at 10am local time. Pearl Jam has partnered with Ticketmaster Verified Fan to create a safe, reliable, ticket-buying experience and ensure tickets get directly to fans for all of these shows. Verified Fan doesn’t guarantee that everyone will get a ticket, but it does level the playing field so a fan is only up against another fan – without racing against bots for the same ticket.

A simple registration is required and only fans that have been verified and invited to the presale will receive an access code allowing them to shop for tickets. You can register here to be included in Verified Fan pre-sale (must register by Tues, Feb 6 @ 4pm PT to qualify).

Public on sale will begin on Wednesday, February 21st at 10am local time, when a remaining, limited number of tickets will be released in a traditional general sale through each venue’s official ticket vendor..

$3 of each ticket ($10 for Seattle) is a charitable contribution to the Vitalogy Foundation, a United States-based public charity under I.R.C. section 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1).
