Next month, Pink Floyd will release long-awaited, soundboard audio of the band’s headlining set at the Silver Clef Award Winners Concert at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, England on June 30th, 1990 as Live At Knebworth 1990. Available on April 30th in a variety of formats, stand-alone audio of this post-Roger Waters concert has only existed in bootleg or fragmented formats until now. Earlier this week, Pink Floyd previewed the live release with the show-opening “Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1–5)”.
Though the star-studded lineup of the Silver Clef concert featured performances from Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, Phil Collins and Genesis, Eric Clapton, and many more, Pink Floyd were considered the headliners. The concert came following the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, which stretched over two years and boasted over 200 shows in front of upwards of 5.5 million people according to Brooklyn Vegan and represents a distinct time in the later years of the psychedelic juggernauts.

The lineup at the time consisted of guitarist David Gilmour, drummer Nick Mason, and keyboardist Richard Wright, alongside the core of the Momentary Lapse of Reason touring band including Guy Pratt, Jon Carin, Tim Renwick, and Gary Wallis. Backing vocals came courtesy of Durga McBroom, Sam Brown, and her mother Vicki, as well as Clare Torry, who provided the original vocals to “The Great Gig In The Sky”. Also on hand during Live At Knebworth was saxophonist Candy Dulfer and keyboard player Michael Kamen.
Gilmour and recording engineer Andy Jackson have remixed the entire seven-song performance for release on CD, LP, as well as digital platforms. Until the announcement of this live release, stand-alone audio of Floyd’s 6/30/90 set was only available in full in less-than-ideal bootleg quality. Two songs from the set, “Run Like Hell” and “Comfortably Numb”, were later released on a two-CD Greatest Hits of the festival. The show was later included in the massive Later Years box set released in 2019 but has not seen an individual release until now.
